Many people I meet wonder, ‘What does a Chaplain do?'. The best way to describe my role as the School Chaplain is that I am part of the learning support and wellbeing team.
At times, life can be tricky and sometimes things can feel overwhelming. However, when there is someone there to journey with, who can offer a listening ear, encouragement, and support, then the impossible may not look so big. As a School Chaplain I consider it a privilege to walk alongside the members of the school community in this way.
I will be working at the school on Mondays, providing assistance to students through support groups, academic help, and in the playground. I will also be available to meet with students (following permission from a parent or guardian) and other members of the school community to provide a listening ear, encouragement, support and referral to suitable outside organisations.
